<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>2.</strong> Laey-yog</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>3.</strong> Hathyog</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>4.</strong> Rajyog</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Mantrayog </strong>means chanting a certain &#8216;mantra&#8217; at certain time of the day, usually in the morning. This will give you peace of mind. There is one universal mantra &#8216;OM&#8217;. The whole universe had been originated from this word. So powerful this word is&#8230;OM</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Laey-yog</strong> means doing your routine work properly and simultaneously remembering your GOD also.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Hathyog </strong>consists of various &#8216;AASANAS&#8217;,postures, which are done to keep your body healthy and for sharp mind.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Rajyog </strong>means to make your body and mind pious, so as to connect with your soul and experiencing the divine intervention. Yoga is a medium by which you can find the GOD within your inside. By GOD, i doesnt mean that you will see a heavenly body inside but you will discover your positive/good part. And you will feel very calm and relaxed.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Perosn who does yoga and meditate daily and continues doing it. Then after some time you will feel that your body and mind is in your full control. You will also feel more confident and will find yourself at par to others.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">It is a proven fact that if you meditate for five years continuously, then your <strong>biological life will be tweleve years younger than your chronological life</strong>. You will feel like a different person completly. Your conciousness will open up to a different dimension and you will find yourself filled with innovative ideas and a lot of energy.    </span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Maldives</strong> is a group of beautiful islands. Maldives is a <strong>“Tourists Paradise”.</strong> Millions of tourists visit this place every year. But how many of them understand their responsibility to keep this place clean and how many of them know that is at verge of extinction.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Due to the increasing temperature of the earth i.e. global warming, the ice in Antarctic Ocean is melting at a very fast rate. Researchers have predicted that the ice will extinct from the Antarctic Ocean in next 20 years. Due to which sea water will rise. And there are 3000 cities of the world, which will be drowned.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Coming back to Maldives, the highest point of Maldives is at a height of around <strong>7 feet above sea level</strong>. Due to the rising sea level, the danger for extinction of Maldives is also increasing. Researchers say that if the sea level continues to rise at the same rate, then it is possible that Maldives will be erased from world’s map in <strong>coming 50 – 60 years</strong>. Keeping this mind, the president of Maldives, not waiting for the disaster to come, has requested the world to stop the use of carbon as soon as possible and look for some  other renewable source of energy. Maldives itself will totally stop carbon emissions by 2020. For this purpose Maldives has taken a step forward and has organized a meeting under sea water to discuss global warming and to find a way to stop carbon emissions. They will also discuss about various renewable sources of energy and how to get maximum from them.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">But it is a fact that people all over the world are not the same. There are some people who are so eccentric that they will not stop carbon emissions and will continue to use carbon for their mere profit. That is why, I think that the president of Maldives has started buying land in other countries for his people of Maldives, so that citizens of Maldives should not live as refugees in other countries and they should live freely. I heartily appreciate this thinking of  <strong>THE PRESIDENT</strong>.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Like the President understands his responsibility, we should also understand our responsibility and should stop polluting the environment.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Stop Carbon Emissions</strong></span></p>

And when you are through all the pregnancy pains, you enters  into your post-pregnancy period. Now the responsibilities are even bigger and tough. You need a nutrition guide now to keep yourself healthy and your baby too. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">You have done a lot of hard work to plan your diet while you were pregnant. But it is not over yet, it is just the beginning. You have to take care of your diet again because now you have to breastfeed your baby. That is why <strong>GOD</strong> had named you <strong>‘MOTHER’</strong>. ALWAYS remember that your own milk is best for your baby, never compromise for it. Your child’s growth depends on the quality of your milk, which means on your nutrition. So you have to feed yourself well, so as to feed your baby.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Experts say that while you are breastfeeding, you require 500 calories extra daily. So try to make these extra 500 calories more nutritious, because these are for your child. If you are not able to make those extra calories from your food then you can opt for supplements also. Consult your doctor for supplements. Doctors will probobly reccommend you a calcium supplement, a folic acid amd a multi-vitamin depending upon the need of your body.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Here are some do’s and dont’s:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>1. Choose well, Eat healthy</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">You burn a lot of calories while you are breastfeeding. After a breastfeeding session, you will feel hungary. Eat something healthy and nutritious, which can cover up your calories. Don’t eat junk food.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>2. Split your heavy meals into many</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Usually you eat three times a day and stuff your self tight. But this is wrong. Instead of taking three heavy meals a day, break it into 3 – 5 light meals a day. Take your meals after every 2-3 hours. This will help you to digest your food more easily and you feel fuller whole day. This will increase your metabolism also. And write a note that whatever you eat should be healthy.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>3. Quench your thirst after and before each feed as you feel</strong> </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Listen to your body need, If you feel thirsty before or after feeding, quench your thirst by drinking a glass of water, fruit juice or vegetable juice. This way you will be able to meet your daily water requirements also.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>4. Say no to smoking and drinking</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Smoking is a bad habbit. It spoils your life. In case you are a smoker and are breastfeeding your baby, then you should quit smoking because it is dangerous for your baby. Because nicotine will go to your baby’s body through your milk.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Simillar is the case with alcohol, so avoid alcohol also.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Diet plan for breastfeeding mums:</strong></span></p>
<ol>
<li><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>1. Drink </strong>atleast 2 – 3 litres of <strong>water </strong>daily. Keep yourself hydrated.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>2. Try</strong> to take most of your energy requirement from <strong>carbohydrates</strong>. But fat is also equally important, 30% of your daily calories should come from fats.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>3. Carbohydrate source: </strong>Eat plenty of vegetable and whole fruits. Drink fruit and vegetable juices.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>4. Protein source:</strong> Eat meat, chicken, fish, beans, soya, eggs, nuts, etc.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>5. Eat dairy products also.</strong> Drink 2-3 glasses of milk, cheese, yogurt,etc.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>6. Fat sources:</strong> Eat butter, mayonnaise, cheese, peanuts, walnuts, fish(salmon), etc.</span></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">As such there is no compulsion for eating. But it should be nutritious and not junk food. And one thing which you should keep in mind is that maintain proportion of what I have told you. Plan your diet well.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>EAT HEALTHY, FEED HEALTHY</strong> </span></p>

According to a new research, <strong>obese childrens and teenagers are at an increased risk for developing allergies.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>An American study</strong> analysed data taken from over 4000 participants aged 2 – 19 years, who had been part of national survey fro health and nutrition found that obese children and teenagers were 26% more likely to have an allergy and 59% are more likely to have a food allergy as compared to kids who are having a normal healthy weight.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">The above study shows that there is significant percentage of kids and teens who are allergic. So this is the time when all of us should take a step forward to lead a healthy life. I mean, C’mon guys, wake up and start shedding some weight. <strong>Parents should also take active participation in teaching their kids.</strong> I am not saying this for my interest, infact this is the need of the hour.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">You should not let yourself get overheated because it can be dangerous for you and your baby. <strong>Overheating can lead to Preterm births.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">So all the mothers should try to stay cool, especially in summers. When you are pregnant your metaboplism runs faster than normal, it works for two.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Here are few tips to keep yourself cool and calm :</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>1. Drink a lot of water</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Don’t ever let yourself get dehydrated. Dehydration in pregnancy can cause headaches, water retention, cramps, dizzinsess, oedema. Drinking plenty of water will avoid all these problems and will maintain your body temperature also. Will keep you cool.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Drink 2 – 3 litres of water daily to meet your daily water needs.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Always carry a water bottle while you go out.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">You have to be extra careful for your water requirement in your third trimester because this is the time, when dehydration can lead to preterm birth of baby.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>2. Plan your day</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Plan your routine work in such a way that your exposure to sun should be minimal. Try to walk and work in shade, inside your home or office.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>3. Use sunscreen</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Use sunscreen while going out, to beat the heat. Protect your skin by minimising your time in sun, especially ‘mask of pregnancy’. Some women change their skin during pregnancy. And when you come back, use a after sun-lotion for a soothing and cooling effect.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>4. Listen to your body</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Tyr to learn about your body signals and try to figure out needs of your body. Whenever you feel diziness or uneasiness, drink some water or juice. If it stays long then don’t take chances, consult your doctor immediately.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>5. Wear cotton clothes.</strong> This prevents itchy skin and will keep you comfortable and cool.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>6. Cover your head</strong> with a cap, hat, bandana or umbrella while you go out. This will keep your head cool.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">These are the few things, I wanted to share with you. There are few more things that ‘goint to be moms’ should take care of. And if you don’t know those simple things then don’t feel shy to <strong>consult your mother or mother-in-law because she will be your biggest advisor</strong>.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">We all know the function of arteries is to supply blood to the heart. But for a heart patient, the blood starts depositing traces of fats on the walls of the arteries. Soon these blockages will turn into clots, due to which supply of blood to heart is blocked, causing a <strong>heart attack.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Factors which increases risk of heart attack</strong></span></p>

<li><span style="color:#333333;">High blood cholestrol.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">High blood pressure (Hypertension).</span></li>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">          <strong>AIM 1.</strong> Reduce levels of total blood cholestrol.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">          <strong>AIM 2.</strong> Emphasis on good cholestrol than bad cholestrol.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">          <strong>AIM 3.</strong> To lose weight and to maintain a good healthy weight.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">          <strong>AIM 4.</strong> To control high blood pressure.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Limit your daily fat intake to 30% of total calories. Reduce intake of saturated and trans – fats.</span></p>

<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid egg yolks strictly.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid organ meats like brain, lever, kidney because they are high in cholestrol.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid high fat dairy products.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid foods that include ‘trans-fats’, ‘hydrogenated fat’ or ‘partially hydrogenated fat’.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid animal fats like butter.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid processed meat like bacon, salami, etc.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid red meat.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid the use of alcohol, caffeine products and carbonated drinks.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Reduce your sugar intake.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Avoid salt in your food. One can eat less than 6 grams of salt per day.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Shift to vegetarian diet. Cook very slightly to preserve the enzymes or you can eat them boiled.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Eat plenty of fruits.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Eat garlic and onion in your diet. Because these have anti-oxidant properties and garlic lowers the blood pressure.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Instead of heavy meals, take several small meals, which are low in salt.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Eat food that contain magnesium like wheat germ, broccoli, spinach, etc.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Drink fresh vegetable juices.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Take honey, 2 to 3 times a week to strengthen your heart.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Eat walnut also.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">If you want to eat meat, then choose lean meat, skinless chicken or any fish.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Eat fish regularly because fish is rich in omega-3 acids. It is good to take it steamed.  </span></li>

I am going to give some diet plan tips for smokers but this doesn’t mean that you will continue to smoke instead of quitting it. My one straight advice to people who smoke is to quit smoking because smoking is a bad habbit and injurious to health.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Lets talk some science now.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">People who smoke or chew tobacco, intake large quantities of <strong>nicotine, carcinigens and other harmful chemicals.</strong> These harmful chemicals slowly damages your immune system. <strong>Due to which smokers are more prone to diseases like lung cancer, hypertension, heart attack, mood swings, emphysema and many more. I will suggest you a diet but the harmful effects of smoking will always overweigh your healthy efforts.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Smoking increases your free-radical levels like carcinogenics, so you need to protect yourself by increasing the intake of anti-oxidants such as vitamin C, vitamin E, bioflavonoids and carotenoids. A smoker requires 500% more vitamin C than non-smokers, to neutralise the bad effects of smoking to some extent.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Diet tips for smokers:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">1. Increase the intake of anti-oxidants in your diet.</span></p>
<ol>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">A. Eat red, yellow, orange or green fruits.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">B. Eat vitamin C and vitamin E rich food with bioflavonoids and selenium. Brazil nuts are good source of selenium.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">C. Switch from coffee to green tea. I have already disscussed the advantsges of green tea in my earlier post. Green tea is a good anti-oxidant.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">D. Eat a lot of garlic and onion because they have good anti-oxidant properties.</span></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">2.Eat fruit/vegetable rich in carotenoid. Spinach, Orange, Carrots, Melons, Tomatoes,etc are good source of carotenoids (Beta-Carotene).</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">3.Include Brassicas rich food in your diet plan. Brassicas reduces the risk of cancer. Broccoli, Mustard, Raddish, Cauliflower, Kale, Cress, Brussels Sprouts, 4. Cabbage, Horseradish, Kohlrabi, Turnip,etc.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">5. Reduce intake of fat from your diet plan because excess of fat wil increase your weight and thus you will be more prone to diseases.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">6. Increase intake of good carbohydrates. Try to take most of your energy from carbohydrates.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">7. Reduce sodium(salt) in your diet.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">Also involve yourself in some physical activities like sports, aerobics,etc. do it for 45-60 minutes daily. But as I always say, do consult a doctor before following any diet plan or exercise plan. Because everyone is not the same.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">Scientists are saying that ozone layer is depleting every year, due to which the temperature of earth is rising, which leads to climate change, shifting of seasons, etc.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Researchers say that temperature of <strong>Antarctica has risen to 3 times</strong> its original temperature in last 2000 years. This is the reason why glaciers are melting in Antarctica, rising the sea level.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">But according to a recent survey, there is something else happening in <strong>HIMALAYAS</strong>, which is reverse to what scientists say. There are around 250 glaciers in Himalayas. But recently, 53 new glaciers are created in Karakoram range. Scientists from all over the world are carrying a research, trying to find out, why it is happening.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">What I wanteed to say is that is global warming the only reason behhind melting of glaciers in Antarctica or is there some other phenomenon behind it, which is still out of the reach of scientists.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">And whatever conversions are happening in earth, what will be its effect on humans. Will it be beneficial for us or it is just the starting of <strong>DOOMS DAY.</strong></span></p>

Research has shown that when the male hormone is exposed to 5 – alpha – reductase (an enzyme in the hair follicle), it produces dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which causes permanent hair loss.</span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>Possible consequences of ozone layer</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Increase in levels of UV-B radiations, which can cause genitic damage, sunburns and skin cancer also.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Increase in earth’s temperature, causing GLOBAL WARMING.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Reduction of the ozone green house effect because free radicals catalyst will destroy this property of ozone.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Due to increase in earth’s temperature, glaciers will start melting, which will increase the sea water level.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Shifting of seasons will be another possible consequence of ozone depletion.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Destruction of wild life because some of the speices may not be able to adjust will the climate change.</span></li>
<li><span style="color:#333333;">Increased UV-B radiation will also affect the photo plankton life in the ocean’s photic zone.</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>In a recent report, if the glaciers will continue to  melt at the same speed, then around 3000 cites of the world will be under water by 2100, causing damage of life and property.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color:#333333;">These are known as free radical catalysts. They are released in the earth’s atmosphere by the manmade organohalogen compounds like <strong>chlorofluorocarbons </strong>and <strong>bromofluorocarbons.</strong> The main source of these halogen atoms in the stratosphere is photodissociation of <strong>chlorofuorocarbon</strong>(CFCs) compounds, commonly called freons, and of <strong>bromofluorocarbons </strong>compounds known as halons.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">Unlike ozone, these compouds are highly stable in the earth’s atmosphere. When these compounds reach stratosphere, there by the action of ultra-voilet rays, Cl and Br radicals gets seperated. These free radicals then catlyse a chain reaction capable of <strong>breaking down over 100000 ozone molecules.</strong> As a result ozone molecules lose their property of absorbing ultra-voilet radiations.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">In 2009, <strong>nitrous oxide</strong> was the largest ozone depleting substance emitted by humans.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>EFFECTS ON HUMAN BEINGS</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">When ozone molecules will lose their property of absorbing harmful ultra-voilet rays, then it is obvious that these harmful rays will reach the earth’s surface. As a result UV-B radiation levels will increase. The consequences of this will be an increase in skin cancer and sunburns will be common by that time. There will be an increase in genetic damage in humans.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;">This will also damage the plants life and reduction of plankton population in the ocean’s photic zone.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>The incresed ultra-voilet levels on earth’s surface also represents an increase in vitamin D levels. Vitamin D has cancer preventive effect, which is possibly a benefit for humans.</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#333333;"><strong>But scientifically speaking, threats will overweigh the benefits. So it is upto you to decide, what to choose.</strong></span></p>
